LG has officially announced that availability of the Watch Urbane will begin this week in South Korea, with twelve other countries getting it on the Google Store some time before this month is out. Those 13 markets include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Spain, UK and the United States. The watch itself will be available for purchase through the Google Store.
Google announced that LG Watch Urbane will be the first Android Wear smartwatch to ship with the latest version of the OS. As far as hardware goes, the Watch Urbane is pretty much just like the G Watch R apart from the case and strap materials, they even look very similar. LG claims they've reduced the size of the circular bezel a bit, but otherwise, all the guts are the same - Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.3" P-OLED display, 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM, and a 410mAh battery. The LG Watch Urbane will be able to connect to Wi-Fi networks all on its own. You'll be able to get updates about new emails and calendar appointments directly on the watch.
The LG Watch Urbane will offer two features not found on other Android Wear devices, according to LG. LG Call will you let access recent calls and a list of favorite contacts on your smartphone to dial your call directly from the watch while leaving the phone in your pocket or purse. And LG Pulse will measure and report on your heart rate as you exercise.
LG has confirmed Korean pricing for the Watch Urbane is ₩396,000, which is around $365. Another price update is came from UK, Online retailer Clove revealed it will be stocking the Watch Urbane from April 30 at a pricey £260 which is equivalent of $390. It's still unknown that how much LG Watch Urbane will cost in USA. But it would be foolish to expect anything less that $350.
