Wearables have all sorts of functions, but the focus so far has been on health and fitness. The engineers from F1 team McLaren, however, are making a wearable that makes jet lag a thing of the past. The team at McLaren Applied Technologies (MAT) believes that wearables in the future will be able to monitor you vital signs and help you to adapt your behaviour to deal with the stress of flying more effectively.
Duncan Bradley, conduct of high-performance pattern during MAT believes that disruptive factors like time disproportion can be mitigated by modernized technology. “Everyone only accepts that when they transport by air, they’ll feel somewhat rare when they arrive during their destination,” he said. “What we’re devising building is a unfolding where we can spin that on a conduct – we’ll get people to consider about a condition in that they’d like to arrive somewhere, and afterwards make it probable for them to grasp this.”

Although MAT’s language is ambiguous and details are scarce, it is certainly nice to think we may have devices in the future capable of generating idiosyncratic algorithms dedicated to making us feel the best we can, especially when these devices are the brainchild of the traveling experts at F1. McLaren has not set a release date, but let us hope this technology becomes a reality sooner rather than later.
