Android Wear 5.1.1 is now rolling out to all compatible watches

Over on its product forums, Google announced that it has started rolling out Android 5.1.1 to Android Wear watches. And we now have confirmation that the latest firmware already reached out to LG's G Watch and G Watch R. The update will roll out gradually, and Google says that it might take anywhere between a few days to a few weeks before it reaches your device.

Announced about a month ago, Android Wear 5.1.1 brings a slew of new handy features to the wearable platform, such as the ability to set always-on applications, new gestures for scrolling through Google Now cards, and a much more refined contacts/app menu. Wi-Fi support is another hot new feature in Android Wear 5.1.1. It is important to note that the functionality will only be available on the LG Watch Urbane, Moto 360, Sony Smartwatch 3, and Samsung Gear Live.
